Created for the December 1976 cover of American Express Travel and Leisure magazine, this work uses actual vintage Christmas ornaments, a rubber stamp, simulated snow and a metal typeface of the magazine’s name to reflect articles within the magazine.

The White House Secretaries
Created for the October 1977 cover of McGraw-Hill Publishing’s Secretary magazine, this work uses mitton gypsom letters and stars, a cutout of President Carter’s secretary surrounded by office items, an American desk flag, a miniature Seal of the President of the United States surrounded by peanuts, a Jimmy Carter campaign button and a paper cutout of the White House below the typeface of the magazine’s name.

Peace of Mind
Created as an inclusion for Quest magazine, this free-standing work uses hand-cut stars surrounding a cutout of a body builder above cloud pictures and an athlete running balanced on a head sculpture on a small wheeled vehicle. Target-style glasses cover the eyes.

Created for the jacket cover of Louise Armstrong’s book Kiss Daddy Goodnight for Hawthorne Publishing, this piece is a wooden construction of a bedpost with a color repetitive picture of a young girl slowly eclipsed by a black heart.
